About the course


This course aims to help and support local companies to enrol in advanced technologies training related to “Industry 4.0” on a 2:1 matching basis to provide intensive training to each trainee to allow them to have a deeper understanding of that field.

Our course is recognized by the Innovation and Technology Commission and therefore companies can apply for the RTTP funding organized by Vocational Training Council (VTC). Those SMEs who successfully registered accounts under the RTTP scheme are eligible for applying for the e-commerce training course, and they could receive a 2/3 subsidy from the government, in which the total amount is no more than HKD500,000 for each SME per year. *Assuming each student has to pay HKD$3,000 for the course, but after the funding, they only need to pay HKD$1,000 for the course


What are “Industry 4.0” and “reindustrialisation”?

Nowadays, many countries have already implemented “Industry 4.0” to enhance their industrial competitiveness by using more information technology and advanced manufacturing technology. Besides, “reindustrialization” was proposed by the Innovation and Technology Commission with the purpose of promoting industrial application and developing innovative technology and at the same time encouraging smart production to attain upgrading and transformation and developing key industries to create more quality and diversified employment opportunities.


What qualifications do I need to possess to participate in the course?

As long as the training courses you participate is about one of the following topics – Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), Internet of Things (IoT), and big data, you can apply for the funding and take part in the course. For more information, please click here to contact us.

 




Our Tutors

Harry Lui – Founder and Executive Director of Smark Global (Holdings) Limited


Harry graduated from the Department of Information Systems of the City University of Hong Kong and obtained the Master of Science in Knowledge and Technology Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has more than 18 years of experience in information technology, e-commerce, sales and management. Also, he has a unique insight into the business models in this new era. In 2013, Harry led the IT team to develop a retail and online shop system – “MOSES” which won the Best SME ICT (Product) Silver Award. With such honour, the company is committed to improving the marketing process for Hong Kong’s retail industry. In 2016, the company won Best Mobile Apps Award and open a new page for the premium global hotel industry’s mobile apps. Apart from having forward-looking sales and retail management knowledge and experience, Harry is also proficient in IT online promotion. In recent years, he has continuously promoted automated marketing solutions and cooperated with major institutions to organize over 100 seminars and cultivate more than 1000 SMEs’ owners. In 2021-22, he only spent 6 months leading the team to generate cross-border e-commerce revenue of more than HKD$1,000,000 for the client each month. Until now, more than HKD$4 million transactions have been generated and over 5,000 products have been sold. In the same year, he obtained certificates from Amazon.

Shek  – Online Marketing Expert


Shek graduated from the Department of Design of Caritas Bianchi College of Careers. He learned online marketing skills to promote his self-designed products. As of now, he has spent more than HKD$2 million on advertising fees on Facebook. In 2014, he found “Online Marketing Player”, the first online learning platform in Hong Kong dedicated to providing digital marketing education for companies, including digital marketing minds, digital transformation, Facebook advertising, marketing automation, Chatbot, etc. The aim of his company is “We use internet knowledge to help SMEs grow.” Their online and offline courses have trained more than 3,000 SMEs’ owners from Hong Kong, Macau, Tai Wan and Malaysia. Meanwhile, they will provide consultation and internal training for companies, including German Pool, Yahoo, LBS Group, Sunshine Laundry, Herbs, Convoy Financial Services, Ming Pao, etc. He has also been invited by universities and institutions, including HKUST, PolyU, HKU, HKBU, OUHK, IVE, Cyberport, and Innovation Center to hold talk-sharings. His representative book – “營銷為王” (Chinese Only) provides clear guidelines on how to build a digital marketing system.

Yuku NG


He is a former Assistant Regional Headquarters Commissioners (Information and Technology Training) of Scout Association of Hong Kong – Kowloon Region. He has over 20 years of experience in the research and development of technology in the tourism industry. Meanwhile, he has ample experience in comparing prices, connecting to different systems, communicating with different companies and data comparison. In 2001, he started up a technology company with his friends. Unfortunately, there were economic crises in Hong Kong in 2003 and 2008. Hence, their business was severely affected. From 2008 to 2020, he was a lecturer at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education. In 2013, he noticed the rise of the price comparison platforms for tourism so he compiled a price comparison platform for hotel and air tickets for medium-sized travel agencies. In 2016, due to his personal experience, he found Storage Select, a price comparison platform for self-storage. In 2017, he launched Airbare, the first local online price comparison platform for air tickets and won Hong Kong Smart City Awards 2018. In 2019, he rolled out TripOptimizer, Hong Kong’s first fully automated order management system for travel agencies. Later, he won the Silver Award of the Hong Kong ICT Awards – “Smart Tourism” in 2021. With his years of experience in the tourism market and strength in IT technology, the platform and system he created bring much convenience to life and travel to many people.
